The Nike Kobe 5 Protro Bruce Lee is set to be released again this summer on Nike and selected stores. A pair of these sneakers will retail for $180. This is one of our most favorite Kobe sneakers.
What We Know About The Nike Kobe 5 Protro Bruce Lee
|Del Sol/Metallic Silver-Comet Red-Black
|Expected Release Date
The Kobe 5 Protro Bruce Lee was originally released in 2010 and has been one of the most beloved Kobe sneakers of all time.
It features a black and yellow upper that’s inspired by the jumpsuit that Bruce Lee wore in his famous movie, “Game of Death”. Another movie from Bruce Lee, “Enter the Dragon”, inspired the red scratch marks near the toe box.
The sneakers are returning in Protro form. This means that Nike will be upgrading the materials used on each pair with their brand’s latest technologies. They should be improving the midsole of these sneakers for better support and a softer feel.
With Kobe’s tragic passing, expect the price of these sneakers to go up exponentially once released to the open market once again.
